Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching
2 Timothy 4:1

People in today’s world are afraid to share the Gospel because of this fear of not being politically correct. Most are even afraid of what others might think of them because we Christians are different from the rest of the world and do not fit in. 2 Timothy 4:3 reminds us, “But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.”

Friends might laugh at you and even your own family might doubt what you say, but know this. When you evangelize to the world, you will face rejection as many of our brothers and sisters have faced as well. Just because you get a rejection response is not necessarily a bad response. You see, when someone reacts to something you say, the fact that what you said effected them enough for them to react is enough is awesome. It means that what you’ve shared has touched a cord deep in their hearts that caused the response of rejection that you have received so don’t be discouraged. It may not the response you hoped for, but just them responding is enough to plant the seed of faith. And that seed you planted can blossom into a something wonderful. We may not be around to see that seed grow, but that’s what we are here to do. Spread the good news of the Lord to all the earth, evangelism and make disciples of Jesus.

Look at the stories of Saul, who was very far from God before he was saved. Acts 9:1 reminds us that Saul was uttering threats with every breath and was eager to kill the Lord’s followers. The Lord took a bitter person who loved persecuting Christians and converted him to, not only a great believer, but he eventually became the Apostle Paul.

As Titus 2:11-12 says, “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.” So don’t be afraid to share any good news you know about the bible. You never know what awesome affects the word of God can do, unless you are willing to share it. Regardless of how much or how little you think you might know. God will use it and harvest a forest.

In closing my brothers and sisters, focus on evangelizing the word of God to one person. Spend time with God today and ask for His guidance and His spark of faith, as it is in faith that we do what we do and it’s with His strength that we do it by. God Bless and good luck.

Brother Jonathan
