Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
Romans 13:1

You know I find it harder and harder to find God in today’s authority figures. When you take a look at the majority of our Leaders of today, you seldom see the Lord’s work. Yet, if you look hard enough with your heart, you will understand that God has a plan for everything. I am finding more and more, that we have a very hard time seeing the Lord’s plan when our fellow brothers and our sisters, men, women and children are suffering, being imprisoned, tortured, raped, even murdered, and the list goes on, but… it does make one wonder if that was God’s plan to begin with? As James reminds us, “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing” James 1:2-4 NLT.

God has established everything in your life for a specific reason and a specific purpose. It is up to you to find the reason and purpose. Maybe times are very tough for you right now. Or. maybe times are going great for you. Just remember to praise the Lord and thank God for what you have or don’t have because it can be a lot worse or it can be a lot better. Some people are destined to suffer in this life to save another. Some people are put in high-ranking positions to do exactly what the Lord God has intended for them to do. Even Hitler had a purpose and place. So, don’t judge what other’s have, don’t have or even what you are going through because Jesus warned us in Luke 6:41-45, “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying, ‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?

It was the best of times and it was the worst of times. No one can decide that for us besides the Lord. Time is not our own; time belongs to the Lord and the Lord alone. Remember to reflect on the hard work it took for the Lord to provide for us and thank Him.
